| Born and raised in Southern California, Liz studied journalism and photography at the University of La Verne, California then earned a graduate degree from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse, New York. She quickly moved to London to develop her intimate portraiture while teaching traditional black and white photography to undergraduate college students. Liz moved to New York City in 2006 and apprenticed under renouned portrait photographer, Mark Seliger. She learned that it is essential to be prepared to capture the unexpected, natural reality of your subjects. Liz has taken her collective experiences in the field and photographs her subjects in an honest and genuine light. She combines her photojournalism education with her artistic sensiblity in documenting life through the lens. |
